Data centers can consume enough energy to run a small town.  According to statistics, the amount of energy required to power Google Inc.’s 13 data centers could supply electricity that will power 200,000 homes. 

To reduce the demands on the already strained and aging electrical grid, more and more companies must turn to more reliable and sustainable energy sources.

Employment Diversification

 The percentage of minorities employed in the data center and solar industries does not portend well for the economic growth of minority communities. To mitigate that adverse potentiality, the need to expose these industries to these populations is paramount. Our internship program will identify STEM students as early as high school. Our select group of students will have the opportunity to work not on the theory of cloud technology, but actual real world projects. This will be accomplished through work/study, internships and direct employment with our project team members. Our goal is for them to not only learn the technical aspects of cloud computing, but the data center business as well.
